Dog Day Care & Boarding
In the nine years I have lived in the Mt Shasta area one thing that I have discovered is a great lack of comfortable, safe and fun loving places for dogs to stay when their humans are busy with work or of town. So now I am opening up my life & home to help fulfill this much needed service.
Our dog day care and short term boarding is done at our home in McCloud. I say we, as my beautiful canine and feline family assist me in hosting this retreat service at our quaint home. Our home is modest but we have a wonderful 3/4 acres fenced yard complete with fruit & shade trees, a covered porch and several sheds, one of which is being converted into a dog nap area for the warmer days of summer.
Both dog day care and boarding can include walks and play time. The length of time and cost of these activities is up to the individual client. Well socialized dogs may be taken on hikes in the nearby forests, while less so can be leash walked in the surrounding neighborhood which is very dog friendly and full of interesting sights & smells.
Stick tug is one of our favorite games!
Supervised playtime is always an option between my animal companions and our visitors. Note: all dogs must be cat friendly, as Sunny, our feline mascot loves to enjoy the company of dogs in play, naps, and going for walks.
